Hi Jerry.
(It's Rachel.)

Glad to see that your website is back.

Does Oprah really smell minty or was that part of the fabrication as well?

Don't you think that embellishment and fabrication are different beasts? (Frey/Leroy/Bush) You're saying that because we live in a culture of lies and that one lie bequeaths another, because it all comes off the top-like from GW, that it's somehow okay- That's bullshit! But I'll let you off the hook, only because 1. I saw you today on my walk, 2. The fact that Oprah smells minty and admitted to loving crack during a commercial break, which only makes me love her more, 3. You had me rolling on the floor as usual, and finally 4. I was once your bartender at the now defunct Cocala downtown back in the day when your arms were so holey, it looked like you had a Severe case of pox! and finally 5. If you agree to continue this conversation while rolling around naked with me, I'll let you off the hook.

I adore your work, and the Frey piece is the best thing I've read this year.

But this empty website of yours is a cruel tease.

Jerry,

I am an ex-junkie myself. I read Permanent Midnight while in prison for my cocaine and heroin possession charges in Texas and admired your raw honesty and integrity (or lack there of). I am an aspiring writer (who else is gonna hire a felon and ex-junkie?). Plus, it's almost a prerequisite for good writing that you've experienced as much as possible in life, including drug addiction. I am currently going to school for journalism and English. I am looking forward to starting to make some posts here.
If you get a chance, stop by my blog and check out some of my bullshit.

The dishonorable and obscene,
J.

hey jerry,
i heard you wrote way to Go(csi finale). As much as i loved Pirates of Third Reich in CSI,i was astonished on the direction of the finale of CSI.I was real disappointed on how you made grissom start a relationship with Sara this way.It was the tackiest scene of the year.I thought POTR was beautifully done while WTG scenes did not go with the original flow of the story(especially sara and grissom taking pictures of each other when brass was lying in hospital)Nevertherless I hope you will write lady heather back into CSI soon in season 7.
P.s,I've always loved the episodes you wrote except Way to Go.Please revert back to the original direction you wrote like in previous episodes. Many fans have been angered a great deal by WTG episode :X

Excellent job with CSI this season. Loved every minute of it! 'Way to Go' was an excellent episode, and I thank you for the last 50 seconds. Grissom and Sara are meant for each other, and I am happy to finally see them together. Keep up the good work next year and beyond! I'm looking forward to next season :).

Hardly. Many fans, including myself, were delighted at the end scene for WTG. It's about time a TV show actually had some continuity. :) Well done.

Awesome work on Csi Season 6 Finale. The last scene blew my mind. I was so happy to see Sara and Grissom together. Theirs is Definatly a relationship I can identify with.

What a great moment TV history!!! I have loved the Sara and Grissom dynamic from the beginning. I can totally reality to it. I really identify with the character Sara a lot. The final scene of Csi season finale made me so happy. I honestly think it made me feel a little better about the similar situation I had been in, in the past. Not that it made me think that possibly things could still work out for. I am way past that point of my life now. But it did bring me some peace of mind and maybe even provided me with some hope for the future. I know it is just a TV show and it is just fiction. But I think this is a good example of how TV and other peoples stories can impact our lives in a positive way.

Blogger Mystix said...

Being a fan of the show means we want the integrity of the
characters upheld which this last season has not done. The last
epsiode was the cherry on top. We're suppose to believe that Grissom and Sara are in a relationship and have been for some time, sorry I don't buy that not with the way he acted around Lady Heather you could see the sparks were still there between those two.
Besides the fact that Sara and Grissom do not make a good couple, never could see any connection between them at least not on Grissoms part.
He looked at her more as a father figure a mentor not as someone in love.
So please do something to correct that mistake of putting them together.

ok, i came in search of a place to gripe about way to go and was distracted by your books so i had to go out and buy one. so i ended up with plain clothes naked because that's what b&n had. this twisted shit is great. i laughed my ass off reading this. poor zank, i almost felt sorry for his ass...almost. and the ending with manny and tina headed for dc was so appropriate.

and you should update your site.

I just saw 'Ch-Ch-Changes' on Spike.
Dr. Benway... nice Naked Lunch reference.
Also, you managed to get in some dialogue about shooting up... but it was botox and/or motor oil into the face! Good one.
Needless to say, I enjoyed the episode immensely.

I liked today's article in the Times. One comment is that Mel Gibson will be forgiven because he (only) attacked Jews. Just as Jesse Jackson is still a paragon of tolerance even when he calls New York Hymietown. One is not forgiven however when the object of ridicle is a black. Note the number of sportcasters who have lost jobs forever because of an unguarded moment. We'll see if Michael Richards ever works again.

Hi Jerry!
Here's your italian translator.
Why don't you make a playlist titled "Songs for a Permanent Midnight's translator"? It would help me to get the right mood...
Anyway, I'm enjoying the work... Proud to take care of that masterpiece... (listening to Lydia's last cd right now)

bloody kisses
